Honoured to Be Named Community Champion: A Heartfelt Thank You

What a moment.
I’m still processing the immense honour of being recognised as the Community Champion, a title that fills me with both pride and deep humility. To be acknowledged for something so personal, something that sits so close to the heart, is truly overwhelming in the best way.

More Than Just an Award

This recognition isn’t just about me. It’s a reflection of the collective energy, support, and shared values of a community I am proud to be part of. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing what can happen when people come together, through vulnerability, resilience, and a desire to lift each other up.

That spirit is what inspires me, day after day.

Why Mental Health Matters So Much

Mental health has always been a cause I care about deeply. Like many, I’ve faced my own silent battles, those difficult days where it feels like no one else could possibly understand. But I’ve also experienced the transformative power of connection. The kind that happens in quiet moments, honest conversations, or even shared silence.

It’s this understanding that has pushed me to speak up, to be involved, and to advocate for greater awareness, support, and compassion around mental health.

A Shared Achievement

When I received this award, my first thoughts were with the incredible team at Alexander Financial Group. They are the heartbeat behind so much of what we do. Their passion, integrity, and tireless commitment often happen behind the scenes, but this recognition belongs to them, too. We don’t do this work for applause, we do it for impact. And their impact is immeasurable.

To my partner, thank you. Your steady support, your unwavering belief in me, and your quiet strength have been my anchor. You've carried me through moments of doubt and reminded me of who I am when I’ve needed it most. This award is just as much yours.

To the Community That Raised Me

To this incredible community: thank you.
You’ve embraced me, challenged me, and supported me. You’ve reminded me that true leadership isn’t about accolades or titles, it’s about service. It’s about showing up, again and again, for the people around you. Whether it's a kind message, a handshake, or a shared roll on the mats, you’ve shaped me in ways I’ll never forget.

Looking Ahead

This recognition doesn’t mark an endpoint, it’s a new beginning. I’m more committed than ever to this work:

  • Raising awareness.

  • Breaking stigma.

  • Building a more compassionate world for those walking the path of mental health challenges.

There’s still so much to do, and I promise, I’ll keep showing up.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for this honour. I carry it with deep gratitude and a renewed sense of purpose. And I’ll continue to do everything I can to give back to the community that has given me so much.

With heartfelt thanks,
